A simple YouTube to MP3 converter

YTMP3 converts supported YouTube videos into MP3 files you can save and listen to offline. Start with a link to a talk, interview, or audio recording. The result shows the video title so you can check it before saving the file.

An MP3 contains the audio from a video. Slides, captions, and on-screen demonstrations are not included, so recordings that make sense without the picture are the most useful to listen to later.

No advertising pages

The download button appears directly in your result, with no advertising pages or pop-up ads to click through. The separate coffee button opens Gumroad for an optional contribution; it is never required to save your file.

Use your browser

JavaScript needs to be enabled for the converter. Keep your internet connection active while it prepares and transfers the file. The theme switch lets you choose a light or dark appearance and remembers that choice in the same browser.

One audio format

Open the saved file in an MP3-compatible player. You can pause, seek through the recording, or add it to a local playlist. If you move it to another device, copy the downloaded MP3 file rather than the temporary link.

Download on iPhone, Android, or computer

On iPhone or Android, use YouTube’s Share option to copy the video link, then return here and select Paste. If your browser does not allow clipboard access, press and hold the input field and use its paste option. On a computer, you can paste with your usual keyboard shortcut.

Your browser handles the file after you select Download MP3. Check its downloads list to see the progress and open the saved file. Depending on your device and settings, it may appear in a Downloads folder or your file manager. Wait for the download to finish before closing the tab.

Audio quality and file names

The original recording affects how the finished MP3 sounds. A quiet, distorted, or low-quality source will not become a clearer recording simply by converting it. This YouTube to MP3 converter does not offer a selectable bitrate or promise to improve the source audio.

The download name is based on the video title. Repeated spaces and characters unsuitable for file names may be cleaned up, so the saved name can look slightly different from the title shown on YouTube. You can rename the file after downloading it to organize your audio collection.

If a conversion or download fails

First, open the link on YouTube and check that it points to the video you intended. Removed, private, or restricted videos may be unavailable to the converter. If the link is correct but processing fails, wait a little before trying again.
